🚨IRGC strikes LPG tanker attempting illegal passage through Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy struck the LPG tanker NV Sunshine in the southern Strait of Hormuz a few hours ago after it attempted to pass through an unauthorized route, Iranian broadcaster IRIB reports, citing the IRGC statement.

The strike reportedly caused a major fire in the vessel's engine room and propulsion system.

The IRGC blamed the US military for escalating maritime tensions and warned that ships using unauthorized routes could face punitive measures anywhere in the region, not only in the Strait of Hormuz.
