🛫Pakistani jets reportedly used in strikes on Houthis

Pakistani military aircraft are purportedly taking part in strikes against the Houthis, The New York Times reports, citing a senior Pakistani military official who spoke on condition of anonymity. No official confirmation has been provided.

According to the report, the strikes are part of the response to recent Houthi attacks on two Saudi airports — King Khalid International in Riyadh and Abha International in the south. The Saudi-led coalition said it retaliated by hitting dozens of Houthi military sites in Yemen, including missile storage facilities and command centers.

🔴Pakistan has long maintained a military presence in Saudi Arabia, while the Mecca Agreement — a defense pact between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey — cemented collective defense commitments. According to analysts' estimates, not official figures, about 8,000 Pakistani troops are deployed in the kingdom, including air force and air defense contingents. Sources say Pakistan's role is focused on countering Houthi missile and drone threats rather than conducting a ground operation in Yemen.
