House Speaker Mike Johnson has accused Iran of being untrustworthy negotiating partners — not on the basis of the talks, but on the basis of their faith.

Meanwhile, his own administration has undercounted casualties, hidden attacks on US troops, misrepresented the state of the strait, and denied its own diplomatic offers.

If lying disqualifies a negotiating partner, the US should look in the mirror before it looks at Iran.
