☠️ Palantir's AI tool Maven gets promoted to Pentagon’s favorite killing app

Palantir's Maven Smart System (MSS) which has been driving the US–Israeli killing spree in Iran is now being locked in as the permanent operating system of US warfighting, reports Reuters.

♦️ As an “official program of record,” the algorithmic weapons-targeting technology is now to be guaranteed long-term funding and full military integration by the Pentagon, according to a letter by Deputy Secretary of Defense Steve Feinberg to DoD leaders.

♦️ Plugging in Palantir’s AI—already driving target selection in ongoing strikes on Iran by hoovering up satellite imagery, surveillance streams, and flight paths - is touted as geared to help “detect, deter, and dominate” US adversaries “in all domains.”

♦️ The decision locks in by September, moves oversight straight into the Pentagon’s Chief Digital Artificial Intelligence Office, and hands future billion-dollar Palantir contracts to the Army.

♦️ Palantir scored a lucrative $10 billion-plus deal with the US Army last summer, on top of a buffet of other government contracts.

Palantir’s stock has skyrocketed amid the Ukraine and Gaza conflicts. Its market cap is now pushing $360 billion on the back of this death-tech jackpot - now officially on the express lane straight to Iran…?
