A Promising World 50 Light-Years Away 🌍
James Webb Space Telescope has identified LHS 1140 b as one of the most promising potentially habitable planets discovered so far.
Scientists believe it is a rocky super-Earth that may be covered by a vast ocean. It could also have a nitrogen-rich atmosphere containing carbon dioxide, creating conditions where liquid water might exist.
More observations are needed, but LHS 1140 b is already one of the most exciting worlds in the search for life beyond Earth.
