🔴 The First Photo Ever Taken From the Surface of Another Planet
On July 20, 1976, NASA’s Viking 1 became the first spacecraft to successfully send an image from the surface of another planet.
Just 40 minutes after landing on Mars, the first photo slowly appeared line by line on mission control screens, giving humanity its very first view from the Martian surface.
It marked the beginning of a new era in planetary exploration.
