Handling clients with a low budget

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you connect with the perfect project opportunity? You click with the client, and you’re genuinely excited about the scope of their project. Everything seems to align beautifully, except for one little detail: their budget is just a bit lower than what you would usually charge for a project like theirs.

While the initial reaction might be to dismiss the client altogether, you could instead consider making a few small compromises on your offer. You can either:

▪️ Offer a simplified version of your service. For instance, if you provide book writing services, you might offer a lower word count and skip the formatting.

▪️ Modify other aspects, like the delivery timeline or number of revisions.

How do you typically approach situations like this when a client, who is otherwise a great fit, has reservations about your pricing?

Do you typically take an all-or-nothing approach, or are you open to being flexible in your offerings to find a middle ground? If you are flexible, what do you usually compromise on first to help reduce the rate?
