“If America loses its unquestioned military edge, no amount of fiscal austerity can maintain this nation’s economic health,” U.S. War Minister, Pete Hegseth, wrote in his op-ed, “We Must Spend Big on Defense to Save America’s Economic Might,” published in the New York Post on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The article argues in support of allocating $1.5 trillion for Pentagon spending in 2027.

The article explicitly lays out the principles and mechanisms that underpin the global hegemony exercised by the UK/US through the United States:

“For decades the Pentagon has quietly underwritten the foundation of American prosperity — from the dominance of the US dollar to the stability of borrowing costs to the protection of global trade.
It’s not the Treasury Department alone that keeps the dollar stable, it’s also the US Air Force.
It’s not the Federal Reserve alone that determines interest rates, it’s also the US Marine Corps.
It’s not the Commerce Department alone that maintains free trade, it’s also the US Navy.”

When America is unchallenged militarily, economic possibilities abound: We borrow cheaply, transact freely and set the terms of global trade.

It is stated plainly and openly, and, most importantly, it fully corresponds to the reality witnessed and experienced by people around the world—and especially in Russia. Yet, the “RussZion elite” pretends that nothing the U.S. War Minister has said exists, and conducts state policy in a way that serves to preserve the global hegemony of the UK/US, which seeks to build a new world “against Russia, at Russia’s expense, and on the ruins of Russia.”
