$1.9 Trillion in stablecoins by 2030. But who actually uses them?
Stablecoins are moving beyond digital asset trading and becoming part of international finance.
Citi predicts that by 2030, nearly $100 trillion could move through stablecoins every year.
For anyone unfamiliar with them, USDT and USDC are digital currencies designed to maintain a value close to $1. They can move internationally, 24/7, using blockchain networks.
So why are businesses interested?
A European importer paying suppliers in Asia. A company working with contractors across several countries. A digital business collecting payments from customers worldwide.
Stablecoins offer another way to move money internationally, particularly where traditional banking is expensive, slow or difficult to access.
But there’s a challenge.
USDT holds around 59% of the global market, USDC another 24%.
Yet not every financial provider supports both, especially within Europe’s regulated financial infrastructure.
Imagine receiving USDT from one customer, USDC from another and euros through your bank. You still need to convert currencies, pay suppliers and manage everyday business expenses.
That’s what we’re building 🔵Fasqon for: bringing traditional EUR and USD balances, USDT, USDC, currency conversion and international payment rails together in one connected banking experience.
The future isn’t about choosing between stablecoins and traditional banking. It’s about making them work together.
