Seminar: category theory
for deep learning

We'll follow a recent course — cats.for.ai — to take a peek at recent advances in distilling ad-hoc machine learning constructs to algebra.

The course we're going to follow promises to provide an accessible introduction to category theory targeted at deep learning practitioners. The authors suggest that ML can benefit greatly from CT's compositional ideas, and that category theory will become an essential element in the machine learning researchers' toolbox.
We'll see if that rings true for us at the seminar.

Unlocking the secrets of networks: L3

Join us for a lecture on the fundamentals of Layer 3 (L3) protocols in computer networks.
In this session, we will dive deep into the mechanics of IP addressing, subnetting, netmasks, netmask counting, and classless addressing.
We will explore the IPv4 protocol and its packet structure, including the sub protocols needed for IP, ICMP, PMTU discovery, and PMTU black hole.
We will also discuss Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) and Reverse Address Resolution Protocol (RARP) and how they relate to L3 networking.
Additionally, we will cover Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and how it fits into L3 networks.

Lastly, we will examine the latest version of the IP protocol, IPv6, and its subprotocols.
We will compare and contrast IPv4 and IPv6 and discuss  their respective benefits and drawbacks.
This lecture is perfect for anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of L3 networks and their underlying protocols.
