We'll follow a recent course — cats.for.ai — to take a peek at recent advances in distilling ad-hoc machine learning constructs to algebra.

The course we're going to follow promises to provide an accessible introduction to category theory targeted at deep learning practitioners. The authors suggest that ML can benefit greatly from CT's compositional ideas, and that category theory will become an essential element in the machine learning researchers' toolbox.
We'll see if that rings true for us at the seminar.
