You probably describe the open-source as the most frequently used IT term. Open-source projects are known outside the professional community - they are used worldwide, actively discussed, and closely monitored. We love and respect open-source projects, but let's be honest - they didn’t bring only fame and happiness to their creators but also troubles and headaches.

We will surely talk about headaches later, but, as always, we want to start with positive points, especially since from our point of view there are still more of them. So, you are a web developer, and you want to try yourself in open-source. Why do this?

We love IT space for the fact that you can reach even the farthest horizons there. This all is consequence of the progress, united future with present closer as ever. Even the largest «lump» of development are nearer to you as it seems at first glance, and our regular interviews with famous developers - are proof to this point.

We took one of those interviews from the author of the Elixir programming language. Jose Valim told us about the history of the emergence of the language and his plans for the future, the benefits for large companies, the influence of the community, the choice of name and much more. In addition to HR-vector we’d like to discuss one more cool project which we’ve been once attached to. We are talking about Pulse.

Pulse appeared on the one of many stages of scaling the company - at the time when we needed additional capacity in order to continue creating even cooler products that please customers. Pulse saved us a lot of resources and time to find managers and technicians for the further company expansion, and also gave us the experience of pitching technical projects.

Currently, common principles like collaboration, motivation and support easily submit to calculation, dealing with them and therefore with attendance loyalty helps to automate services. We tell you a lot about medical, financial, production or retail companies which we had an opportunity to work with but it seems we’ve never mentioned working experience with our colleagues.

IT company «Technokratos» offered us such an experience. Like us they help major business by creating mobile apps and various web services. Technokratos requested our assistance on the developing stage for one of their client’s subproject - large and popular marketplace. Key task was to adapt service to work in Uzbekistan considering language, prices, currency, suppliers etc.
