🟦 | Message from the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and Commander of the Central Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters Ali Abdollahi on the passing of Ayatollah al-Uzma Sayyid Musa Shubairi Zanjani:

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

“When a scholar dies, an irreparable breach is created in Islam that cannot be filled until the Day of Resurrection.”

The painful passing of the highly esteemed Marja of the Shi’a world and pillar of Islamic jurisprudence, Ayatollah al-Uzma Sayyid Musa Shubairi Zanjani (may he rest in peace), has inflicted an irreparable loss upon the Islamic seminaries and Shi’a communities around the world.

This pious scholar and distinguished Marja spent his blessed life promoting the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and safeguarding the domain of Islamic jurisprudence. He was the source of lasting scholarly and spiritual services to Islam and the Qom seminary.

This insightful jurist supported the movement of Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace) even before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, by suspending seminary lessons and issuing statements. After the victory of the Revolution, he remained consistently present in various political and social arenas.

His longstanding and devoted presence alongside the two great Imams and the martyred Leader of the Revolution, as well as his sincere defense of the ideals of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will remain forever as a lasting record and a source of honor for the noble household of Islamic jurisprudence.

I extend my condolences for this profound loss to the sacred presence of the Master of the Age, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Imam Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei (may his authority endure), the Grand Marjas of emulation, the Islamic seminaries, his esteemed family, and all those devoted to the late scholar.

May Almighty Allah reunite his purified soul with his pure forefathers and grant patience and abundant reward to his honored family, his followers, and the entire Muslim people of Iran.
