🏴 🇮🇷 | Message from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Mujtaba Khamenei (H) following the passing of Ayatollah Shubairi Zanjani (r):

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

I received the sorrowful news of the passing of the esteemed teacher, the distinguished jurist, Ayatollah al-Uzma Shubairi, may Allah’s pleasure be upon him. This noble scholar spent his entire life, except for the first few years of childhood, in the pursuit of learning, teaching, and research. He was consistently regarded by his peers of the same generation and by his teachers as a researcher of great depth and insight. His mastery of the various disciplines related to the deduction of Islamic legal rulings was accompanied by subtlety and meticulous attention to detail. The lessons of this great scholar were known as sessions of extensive research and rigorous examination, even when the number of attendees did not exceed a few people, and rightly so.

Praise be to Allah, over the past little more than three decades, many people were given the opportunity to benefit, according to their capacity, from his invaluable presence and to draw provisions from him for their scholarly circles and teaching. His presence was one of imparting and receiving knowledge, even when he would walk toward his noble residence after the lesson. In addition to his undisputed scholarly stature, his humble and fatherly conduct toward seminarians and scholars was also evident and instructive.

Without doubt, the loss of this distinguished personality has created a gap among the foremost Shi’a researchers of the present era, and perhaps its loss will take a long time to compensate for. I extend my condolences for this calamity to our Master, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, to the Islamic seminaries, and especially to his students and admirers, and in particular to the noble household of this scholar who nurtured scholars and learned people. I ask Almighty Allah to elevate the rank of this great scholar.
