Words cross the seasons,
Stories carry what remains. The explosive pace set by war, in which the world turns upside down in mere seconds, would at times turn into mud, pulling time by its ankles into a terribly sluggish mundanity. A vast swamp with seemingly no end. Thus did winter and spring slip past us, both quickly and slowly, and neither issue made it out. But stories were never truly gone.
You sit there, collecting yourself, piece by piece, trying to retrieve your dignity as you would retrieve anything else that had been dropped: methodically and without apology.
🪷 So this summer, we return with something different. Instead of picking up where we left off, we've decided to fold all three seasons into one issue, each with its own theme: fantasy, rebirth, and Romanticism.
Now that the stories have finally found their way back home.
Come read what we've been holding onto. 🕯
