From Bakhtr to Mana Energy: The Footprint of a Surname in Two Major Energy Networks?
In recent years, the name Rabbani has appeared in two key points of Iran's energy industry; on one side in the management structure of Bakhtr Petrochemical Group and on the other in Mana Energy Industrial Group.
But the main question is: Is this just a coincidence of surnames, or are there broader family, managerial, or economic connections between these two presences?
Davarz Rabbani has been present in Bakhtr's management structure for years, and his name appears in the management records of the companies in this group's chain, including the Kurdistan and Kavian petrochemicals.
On the other side, Ahmad Rabbani has been introduced as a board member of Mana Energy Pak; a group active in the fields of electricity, power plants, and renewable energy.
This homonymy becomes more sensitive when some media reports have spoken of the presence of individuals attributed to Davarz Rabbani's family in groups related to Mana Energy. However, this claim has not yet been confirmed by sufficient independent registered documents and cannot be considered a definite fact.
A link that still lacks a clear answer
If there is a family relationship between Ahmad Rabbani and Davarz Rabbani, the more important question is whether there are also managerial or economic connections between the two networks?
First Path:
Davarz Rabbani ← Bakhtr ← Kavian and other petrochemical companies
Second Path:
Ahmad Rabbani ← Mana Energy ← Companies active in the electricity and energy industry
Do these two paths meet at a certain point?
Currently, existing documents show the presence of these names in two major energy groups, but merely sharing a surname is not enough to prove a family relationship or the existence of a shared economic network.
Why are other names also important?
The issue becomes more complex when examining the composition of the boards of directors of Bakhtr chain companies, names such as Mahsan Najafi and Ali Biraghi are also seen at different times.
The repetition of individuals' names on the boards of directors of several companies does not necessarily mean the existence of a violation or a hidden relationship; but it can be a clue for a more detailed investigation of the managerial and ownership network.
The Big Question
Are we facing a set of independent and accidental relationships?
Or is there a network of managerial and economic connections between Bakhtr, the Rabbanis, the Najafis, Mana Energy, and related companies that has not yet been examined as a whole?
The answer to this question cannot be obtained from name similarities or media reports.
To reach an accurate answer, official company registration announcements, board of directors changes, signatories, legal representatives, and the company's shareholder chain must be placed side by side over a multi-year period.
What can be said cautiously at this stage is:
Davarz Rabbani has a documented history with Bakhtr's management structure, and Ahmad Rabbani is also seen in Mana Energy's management structure; however, the claim of a shared family and economic network between these two groups still requires more documents and verification.
Perhaps the answer is not in a single surname;
The answer is in a chain of names, companies, and positions that have been placed side by side over the years.
And the question remains:
“From Bakhtr to Mana Energy; is the footprint of a surname really seen in two major energy networks?”
