🤖 Junkyard to Genius: Meet Anushka, the Low-Cost Humanoid Robot
Students and professors from the Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET), India, have developed a humanoid robot named Anushka. Built using components sourced from a local junkyard, Anushka stands out for her low cost of production—around $2,400—making her significantly more affordable than typical humanoid robots.
Anushka → features a "beating heart," flexible silicone skin crafted by the Madame Tussauds team, and advanced 3D-printed facial features. She uses natural language processing (NLP) and a database from OpenAI to interact with users, currently serving as a robotic receptionist.
The development of Anushka highlights the potential for sustainable robotics by recycling and upcycling materials, offering a glimpse into the future of eco-friendly technology.

🤩 Imagine that
Pavel Durov made a surprise visit to the IQanat school in Kazakhstan after discovering it on Google maps. During his visit, he found the process of selecting and educating gifted rural children very interesting.
After hearing about how these students, despite their difficult backgrounds, were making significant academic progress and getting into top universities, Durov decided to personally fund 12 additional grants totaling $365,000.

Miracles like this do happen! The children tried very hard, participated in the Olympiad and fell a little short, but Pavel, by chance, ended up at the school and radically changed the course of events! Respect to him, and joy for our children!concludes Aidyn Rakhimbayev, Head of BI Group and founder of IQanat School.
