The man killed after entering a TIGER enclosure at a British zoo had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

24-year-old William Chapman climbed two fences before entering the tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, where he was mauled to death by a tiger.

Chapman had experienced psychosis and was under the care of local mental health services, though he was described as highly functioning and independent.

Authorities are investigating his medical care AND the circumstances that allowed him to enter the enclosure.
