Suitcases in different colors and shapes, modern and vintage, were piled up haphazardly in the large industrial location in Milan chosen by @adrianappiolaza for @moschino’s first men’s show and women’s 2025 resort.⁠

The concept of lost and found luggage was a metaphor for the “journey of discovery and exploration, moving from a chaotic life toward a paradise chosen,” the designer said during a preview. He believes in building characters for Moschino, who explore, lose themselves in that exploration, and find a new perspective — all in the name of freedom of expression, which is key to Appiolaza.⁠

The display had an autobiographical back story as the designer’s first job in his birth country of Argentina was at an insurance company “to save money to leave to go to London, back in the ‘90s” — and never wear a suit again in his life.⁠

Fast-forward some 20 years, Appiolaza relished the opportunity to put a papery suit into a shredding machine, and add whimsical touches such as brooches that looked like fried eggs. A pin-striped jacket was actually a trompe l’oeil shirt. Starched shirt collars became embellishments on sleeves and a tank top was made entirely paper clips.⁠

Designer Massimo Giorgetti paraded his latest @msgm collection today in Milan. In the 15 years since launching his brainchild MSGM, Giorgetti developed a special talent to sense the tides of youth culture and trends approaching the fashion coastline; he rode the streams of new means of communication and smart collaborations; he found himself a bigger board (pun intended) with financial backing, and continued to study the wind to intercept any slight change shifting the cultural air around him.⁠

Behind the photo pt. 2 🤎

@marineserre_official was this season’s guest designer at Pitti Uomo. She staged her show at the sprawling Villa de Maiano, while the Tuscan sun set in the background, where she took her signature processes and silhouettes and pushed them to novel places. The first look, a grand ball gown skirt worn with a halter top made from repurposed necklaces showed a more opulent side for the designer; while the rest of the show focused on sharp tailoring in a variety of materials like leather, wool plaids, and classic twills—all stamped with her crescent moon emblem.

@MarineSerre_official presented her new collection in Florence, as guest designer of #PittiUomo. Here is your front row look at the collection, presented in the gardens of Villa di Maiano.

Back in February, Adrian Appiolaza only had a few weeks to work on his debut collection for Moschino; so the collection he showed in Milan was a bit like the second part of his debut. And what self-assured one at that! The Argentinian designer focused on “an exploration of exploration,” populating his runway with a diverse group of characters with a distinct personal style held together by a myriad of the brand’s “archival gestures,” including shirt collars as cutout details on shirts and dresses, fried egg as floral prints, and draped and deconstructed tailoring.
