The TON DNS auction is coming up

❗️We are reminded that the event is set for July 30, 2022 at dns.ton.org.
There are literally only a few days left before the mass buyout of ".ton" domains.

We would like to note that the domains will become available after the launch of TON Proxy (a decentralized analog of VPN), which is scheduled for Q3 of this year.

It is better to buy the desired domain in advance, on which you can earn in the future - because domains can be resold.

Tegro: fourth working DEX

The Tegro team recently launched DEX "Tegro.Finance" on testnet, the fourth working decentralized exchange on TON.

The exchange can already exchange TON for Tegro tokens [TGR], but this is just the beginning. The developers have already announced that they are open to partnerships and token listings on their exchange.

TON testnet | Testnet Update

ℹ️ Testnet is The Open Network for tests, which uses "fake" TON coins that have no market value. It is otherwise technologically similar to the mainnet.

The Testnet is used for experiments, tests, fine-tuning of its services and smart contracts. Before launching on mainnet, the teams "test" the product on testnet.

Ideas for using TON Payments

The participants of the "hackaton" offered their ideas for the application of TON Payments technology, we want to tell briefly about three of the most interesting ones.

1️⃣ Revolution in social networks

Micropayments of the "user to author" type. A social network platform is proposed where for each action, such as liking/viewing/scrolling a feed, a tiny amount of TON is taken from the user's balance and sent to the author of the content.

2️⃣ DEX streaming

Users pay for every second they are on the stream. It is proposed to use this approach in education, entertainment, consulting services, and others.

3️⃣ Micropayments in games

Participants place bets and start a game. The winner takes the reward, and players can immediately start a new game session without waiting for a five-second transaction confirmation and without paying a commission. The technology can be used in PvP games.

The first Hack-a-TON is complete

⚡️ It is worth noting that this is the first "hackaton" in the history of The Open Network blockchain that immediately distinguished itself.

The prize pool was more than doubled, from 40,000 to 81,500 TON. This was done because of the huge demand for the event. The number of entries was much higher than expected, and we wanted to recognize all the worthy participants.

The first three places were divided among the six winners, two teams per place.

Differences between DEX and CEX on TON

New DEX on TON blockchain is not far off, but for mass adoption we want to clarify their differences.

DEX is dYdX, Uniswap and PancakeSwap. Tegro Finance is also coming to TON soon.

CEX is Binance, FTX, MEXC, Coinbase and others.

⚠️The main differences between DEX and CEX:

— More often than not, there is no regulation by authorities;
— Not every DEX requires proof of identity and personal information;
— There is no intermediary, neither an exchange nor a broker, control is in the hands of the user;

💰 TON Society announced the launch of TAV fund (Alpha-Vista Fund), supported by global crypto funds such as VistaLabs, Alphanonce, Miner's Fund and Kilo Fund.

TON DNS auction coming up

In a recent post we talked about a new feature that allows you to use short names like .ton.

🗓 On July 30, there will be an auction dedicated to TON DNS at dns.ton.org.

You can check out the mechanics of the auction in the test version, but don't send any real tokens there - they will irrevocably disappear ⚠️

❕ Once every 12 months you have to confirm ownership of the domain (the .ton address).

You have to send a minimum amount (can be 0.0001 TON) to the smart contract of the domain for renewal, otherwise it will go into auction mode.

New TON Payments service

💸 TON Payments is a payment channel that allows instant transactions without fees.

The payment channel will simplify and speed up the work, for example, with frequent transfers with the user.

🔄 Working Principle:
Transfers tokens outside the blockchain, but inside the channel. Thus, the commission is paid 2 times by the participants - when the channel is created and when it is closed.

The rest of the transactions are not limited in number, each one is signed, at the final settlement participants take their tokens.
