TON Design Challenge announced

🎨 The first design contest in the history of the TON blockchain has officially started. The prize fund will be up to $40,000, and the prizes will be paid in TON.

❕ Assignment for participants: create at least 2 animated stickers.

The first sticker must contain the TON logo and the second sticker does not limit the artists in anything. The main thing is that in your opinion it should relate to the TON community in an original way.

Extension Tonhold & TON-services

The Tonhold browser extension and mobile in-app browser are both designed to interact with web applications. For mobile apps, we recommend integrating via universal links or deeplinks. There are two main ways to integrate Tonhold into your web application, Github Tonhold.

In-app Browser (Web Apps)

When a web application is connected to Tonhold, it can also request that the user signs a given message. The next update tonhold.com will support TON DNS, TON Proxy and TON sites. More info is available on Gitbook Tonhold.

Applications are free to write their own messages which will be displayed to users from within Tonhold’s signature prompt. Message signatures do not involve network fees and are a convenient way for apps to verify ownership of an address.

Direct Integration & dApp

The most direct way to interact with Tonhold is via the provider that Tonhold injects into your web application. This provider is globally available and its methods will always include Tonhold most up-to-date functionality. This documentation is dedicated to covering all aspects of the provider. An implementation example is in the Telegram Web app bot.

TON Auth Wallet Connect

Another quick and easy way to get up and running with Tonhold is via the TON Wallet connection package. The wallet adapter is a set of modular components that allow developers to easily integrate multiple TON wallets into their applications.

This package includes starter files, setup and usage instructions, and a live demo showcasing multiple UI frameworks. At the moment TON Auth is in development. The integration will be available for all sites, including Web 2.0 sites such as Tegro.Money or Telegram Z.

TON Proxy very soon 👀

The most difficult part of the work is already done, the only thing left is to let the packets from the interface into the proxy nodes and soon TON Proxy will start working. And that means safe internet, will be quite close!

Also it will allow you to use TON domains and ADNL addresses not only in your browser but also in any application.

How will TON Proxy work?

In a nutshell, IP address will be assigned as in VPN. The TON Sites that will work through TON Proxy will work separately from the smart contracts themselves at the architect level.

To the extent that the ADNL network (i.e. TON network) is similar to Invisible Internet Project (I2P), such (almost) pure network services are similar to so-called I2P addresses as their entry point and available to clients through the I2P network).

The eep-service can implement HTTP as its client-server protocol; in the context of a TON network, the ton-service can simply use RLDP datagrams.

There will be a TON Marketpalce on Telegram

The first source we found was a channel from Oli Nemo DeepTon (worked for TON Community team), and after that Jack Rothgar's channel TON Plus. Considering who the "insiders" are and the rumors in private chats about it being developed by people from VK gas pedal, we can assume that "influential people" are behind the Marketplace.

Perhaps somewhere Durov's secret hand illuminated it, given the roughly simultaneous announcement of the new marketplace and the post of the founder of that very VK in his Telegram, but let's leave the conspectology to other channels.

We know from technical information that Libermall has a prohibitive number of servers, and already has its own TON blockchain indexer (whatever that means).

Libermall plans, instead of following the practice used in other markets where the blockchain is regularly indexed in its own database and then that database is queried by an external interface, decided to eliminate the middleman and skip the whole database part.

Simply put, whenever a client requests information, it is taken either from the blockchain or from the server cache. This effectively eliminates the possibility of server to blockchain desynchronization (a problem faced to some degree by all modern markets), reduces overall server load because only the necessary entities are updated, and provides better scalability.

These leaks are suspiciously similar to the fact that the platform will support "bulletproof contracts," which Pavel Durov claims the Telegram team can write.

A $2,000,000 investment from TON

⚽️ Project Fanzee is creating a platform to attract sports fans to WEB 3.0 through game mechanics, NFTs and tokens.

Telegram Market at TON | Insider from Pavel Durov?

⚡️ In his recent post, Pavel Durov praised the success of the TON DNS auction and thought about creating an auction with Telegram names, links, channels, stickers, emoji and more.

❕ Paul said that something like this requires a new platform, which he sees on the TON blockchain — quote, "When it comes to scalability and speed, TON probably has the best technology for organizing such decentralized sales."

Pavel also said that his team will try to add WEB 3 to Telegram in the coming weeks, this could mean that the Telegram x TON collaboration is already in an active phase.

TON in Trust Wallet?

How to work with TON DNS

Soulbound NFTs on TON

⚡️ Soulbound NFT tokens are a new type of NFT token due to appear on TON, the essence of which is non-playability and non-transferability.

✨ As the name suggests, these tokens are linked to the "soul", i.e. your private wallet key. If you lose your wallet, you lose your NFT Soulbound tokens.

NFTs can be used for personal documents: diplomas, IDs, etc., or as achievements of your wallet (like achievements in games).
