☠️ A client of Gate stated that about $1,700,000 was withdrawn from their account, although, according to them, phone, Google Authenticator, and email confirmation were enabled.

Later, in their email, they found notifications about password reset, changes to security settings, and account email – after which the assets allegedly left the exchange.

Gate says it found no system vulnerability and considers the incident individual – versions involving email hacking and possible use of a deepfake for identity verification are being discussed online.

🇺🇸 Trump administration's plan to create a Bitcoin reserve has encountered legal and bureaucratic obstacles — Bloomberg.

Initially, the reserve was expected to be managed by the U.S. Treasury, but officials are questioning whether the department has the legal authority to store and manage government BTC.

The administration is now evaluating alternative structures, including transferring the reserve under the jurisdiction of the Department of Commerce, while legal counsel from the Department of Justice is working with both agencies to determine a legally viable structure.
