🇷🇺 The State Duma adopted a law, which legalizes the cryptocurrency market in Russia and defines its main participants, key points:

🔵 Brokers and management companies will be able to act as intermediaries between investors and Russian or foreign crypto infrastructure. For this, they will need additional licenses.
🔵 Official crypto exchangers will appear, who will be able to exchange cashless rubles for cryptocurrency and vice versa. They will have to register and comply with capital requirements.
🔵 For most participants, cryptocurrency will only be available as an investment tool. It is forbidden to pay with it within Russia.
🔵 An exception is made for foreign economic activity and crypto exchangers — they will be able to use cryptocurrency for paying for securities, digital rights, and other digital currencies.
🔵 Only large and liquid assets with a long trading history will be admitted to Russian exchanges. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT meet these criteria.
🔵 Individuals will have to pass testing. For unqualified investors, the Central Bank will separately set the maximum size of a crypto portfolio.
