The German government is massively increasing its commitment to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to assist repairs of Ukraine's energy sector with another around €250 million in funding pledged via the state-owned development bank KfW.

Germany is already by far the biggest contributor to the fund and has so far contributed ~€557.1 million in funding which equals nearly 25.8% of all funds pledged. Another €250 million will therefore be the basis for major repairs especially over the winter period.
