🇺🇸 US service member falls from stadium roof during pre-game rappel

A US service member crashed onto the field while rappelling from the roof of the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, during the pre-game ceremony of a college football game between the University of Texas at San Antonio and the US Navy.

He was one of four servicemen from an Air Force training squadron set to descend to the field. Halfway down he lost control, slid down the rope and hit the turf. Staff surrounded him as he lay motionless for around 10 minutes before he was stretchered off and rushed to hospital. His condition has not been released.
