British police say they have arrested a 27-year-old dual British-Iranian national in central London on suspicion of "preparation of terrorist acts," linked to Sunday's incident near an air base in England used by the US military.

Two properties in the area were searched.

Counterterrorism officers also questioned a second man, a 26-year-old British national.
Vicki Evans, senior national coordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing, described the Gloucestershire investigation as "hugely complex," with specialist teams pursuing "multiple lines of enquiry."
