🇪🇺🇺🇦 EU refuses to fast-track cash for Kiev's $27 billion war budget hole

Brussels has declined to accelerate payments under its loan to Ukraine, after Kiev requested an extra $27 billion to cover a shortfall in its military budget, Bloomberg reports citing sources.

Euronews says the EU is effectively brushing the gap aside, insisting all of Ukraine's needs are already covered.

According to EU officials, Kiev will receive roughly 37 billion by the end of the year through the €90 billion loan and the Ukraine Facility program, which they say is enough to keep Ukraine "on a solid footing."
