By early September, the scale of Ukrainian formations' advance in the Lyman direction became fully clear. After restoring positions on the former Svyatogorsk salient, the AFU managed to free up significant reserves to begin attacks toward Zherets.

➡️During the second decade of the month, the enemy began developing attacks northward along the right bank of the river and reached the outskirts of Yampolivka. In parallel, the AFU attempted to expand the control zone in the Stavky area and regain full control over Lyman itself.

➡️In the northern sector of the direction, the enemy conducted a series of attacks in the Novolyubovka area with the goal of wedging into the ranks of the "West" Guards between Makiivka and Ivanovka. On the southern flank, Ukrainian formations restored positions in Stary Karavan and Brusovka, and also made several attempts to break through to Yampil.

📌 At present, the situation in the direction remains difficult. Ukrainian formations seek to return under their control territories in the interfluve of Zherets and Nitrius, as well as create a threat to the northern flank of the "South" grouping, which has already resulted in a series of counterattacks on the approaches to Slavyansk.
