In late spring, units of the Western Guards developed attacks on several sectors of the Lyman direction. Assault troops conducted battles both in the city of the same name and attacked further west toward Sviatohirsk.

➡️In the first half of summer, Russian units gradually advanced in Lyman. Nevertheless, in August the enemy transitioned to counterattacks and by the first decade of September had recaptured some positions, and also began attempting to retake Shandryholovo and Zarichne.

➡️On the southern flank of the direction, Ukrainian formations also did not abandon attempts to maintain control over the vicinity of Ozerne. In addition, the enemy conducted several attacks toward Dibrova, which allowed it to maintain stability of positions between the lines of the Western and Southern groups.

➡️The most dangerous situation developed on the northwestern sector of the direction, where earlier in spring assault groups reached the outskirts of Sviatohirsk. During the second half of summer, the AFU conducted a series of counterattacks and restored control over positions on the line Drobychevo — Korovyi Yar.

📌 The enemy did not inflict serious losses on Russian forces, since the concentration of Western Guards units in the penetration sector remained quite low. However, later the AFU directed reserves for an offensive toward Zherebets with the goal of straightening out the front line along the water barrier and returning it to the configuration of late 2025.
