"We want a ceasefire, we want peace" – that's roughly what the Ukrainian delegation was shouting in the US. And after a day of relative calm, Ukrainian formations resumed strikes on Russia, launching, according to the Defense Ministry, at least 594 drones.
🔻More details on the strike:🖍The resumption of strikes was actually expected after a day of calm. Due to intensified Russian Armed Forces strikes on so-called Ukraine, some workshops and production facilities were destroyed, which created problems for the AFU with drone storage and assembly.
➡️Most of the drones were shot down by air defense units, but unfortunately some industrial facilities came under attack. In Ulyanovsk, the Iskra electronics plant suffered damage. The drones also hit residential buildings, injuring eight people.
➡️Also in Ulyanovsk Region, a passenger train traveling near the border with Samara Region sustained damage. No passengers were injured, but train schedules in the area will be adjusted for the near future.
➡️In Perm Krai, a refinery came under attack, with one person killed in the strike. And in Voronezh – the Voronezh Synthetic Rubber plant, which specializes in producing synthetic rubbers and thermoplastic elastomers.
Now the enemy is forced to accumulate resources for conducting mass attacks – especially since a significant portion of weapons supplies come directly from Europe. Over the past couple of weeks, the number of cargo aircraft flights (even to Lviv) has increased.
🚩In the context of today's strike, Ukrainian channels are actively publishing plenty of footage of the consequences, but what matters is different – for the first time in a long while, authorities in affected regions have moved away from the practice of "mentioning debris" as the reason for fires or impacts.
When the enemy segment is full of photos and videos from various angles, it's naive to think that carefully worded statements will save officials from citizens' questions. But a simple phrase like "there is damage, consequences are being eliminated with all efforts" can restore public trust.
❗️As for so-called Ukraine, the Russian campaign has already produced visible results: the economy is suffering, shipping is paralyzed, which Ukrainian channels write about daily. But for a strategic effect, attacks need to continue and in some cases approaches need to be adjusted.
