Sending ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday is better than on the rest of the days, and its night (Thursday night) is the best of nights. He ﷺ said, “Among the best of your days is Friday, so frequently send ṣalāh upon me therein.”

The record of deeds is beautified by abundant Istighfār:

Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever loves that he is pleased by his record (of deeds) should seek (Allāh's) Forgiveness abundantly.”

Business Transactions:

Narrated 'Urwa al-Bariqi (رضى الله عنه):

The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him a Dinar to buy a sacrificial animal or a sheep. He bought two sheep with it, sold one of them for a Dinar and came back to him with a goat and a Dinar. So he invoked blessings on him in his business dealings, and he was such that if he had bought soil (of the earth) he would have made profit from it.

[Reported by al-Khamsah except an-Nasa'i]

Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrah said:

Consistency of good deeds before the trial:

ما كان ليونس صلاة في بطن الحوت
ولكن قدّم عملاً صالحاً في حال الرخاء
فذكره الله في حال البلاء.

وإنّ العمل الصالح ليرفع صاحبه
فإذا عثر وجد متكأً

"Yunus did not have a prayer in the belly of the whale,
but he had put forth righteous deeds during times of ease,
so Allah remembered him during times of hardship.

And indeed, righteous deeds raise their doer,
so that when he stumbles, he finds something to lean on."

Last hour of Friday:

"Be certain... the hand stretched to the heavens doesn't return empty. So many wishes thought impossible were brought forth by a dua!
Umar embraced Islam due to a dua,
Tustar was conquered by a dua, Zakariya was given a child by a dua,
hardship was lifted from Ayyub by a dua,
and the tribe of Daws was guided by a dua.

Dua is the refuge of the righteous and the resort of the pious. Hold onto dua tightly, for that's where giving lies...!"

Beautiful dua:

Utbah al-Ghulam asked his Lord for three traits: a beautiful voice, abundant tears, and Risg(sustenance) without effort.

So when he recited [the Quran] he would weep and make others weep, and his tears flowed throughout his life, and he would return to his home to find his daily provision there, without knowing where it came from.

A big misunderstanding regarding giving all your wealth away in charity like Abu Bakr RadiyaAllahu anhu did:

Imam Ibn al-Jawzi, may Allah have mercy on him, discussed the issue of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, donating all of his wealth in charity in several of his works (such as _Kashf al-Mushkil min Hadith al-Sahihayn_ and _Sayd al-Khatir_), and he explained that the Lawgiver (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) permitted Abu Bakr to do that, but not others, based on two main reasons related to his psychological and financial state:

*1. Strength of certainty and perfection of reliance (tawakkul):* Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, enjoyed a very high rank of certainty and psychological steadfastness, such that no regret would enter his heart after his wealth was gone, nor would he look back with a soul longing for it, nor would his faith be shaken if poverty befell him.

*2. Ability to earn and make a living:* Abu Bakr al-Siddiq was a well-known merchant, with extensive experience in the markets, and was able to earn a livelihood and resume making money quickly; so his giving away his wealth did not mean he would become a burden on society, but rather he was able to provide for himself and his family anew.

Earthquakes:

Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah be merciful to him) said: “Allah (Glorified be He) may sometimes permit the earth to breathe. Great earthquakes happen due to this breath. These earthquakes may cause people to fear Allah (Exalted be He), repent to Him, supplicate to Him, forsake sins and regret what they have done.

Some of the Salaf (righteous predecessors) said when the earth was shaken: your Lord admonishes you.

‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a speech to admonish people when an earthquake happened in Al-Madinah and said: “If this happens again, I will not live among you in Madinah.
”

End of quote.

Easy dhikr for relief:

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : من أصابه هم أو غم أو سقم أو شدة فقال : الله ربي لا شريك له كشف ذلك عنه

The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam said:

“Whoever is afflicted with anxiety or depression or an illness or a hardship and says:

'Allaahu Rabbee Laa Shareeka Lahoo’
(Allāh is my Lord, He has no partners)
Then that (affliction) will be removed from him.”

So remember Me; I will remember you.

[Qur'an 2:152]

One of the greatest things you can attain:
That you remember Allah in this world, and He mentions you in the Highest Assembly.

So increase in dhikr, and keep your tongue alive with tasbeeh, tahleel, and istighfar;
For what greater honor is there than having your name mentioned with the Lord of the Worlds?

Under his biography of the famous reciter al-Naafi' (the first of the seven famous reciters), Imam al-Dhahabi included the following narration from Khalaf (the tenth of the ten well-known reciters) about the professions of the seven famous reciters:

Khalaf al-Bazzar said:

-Ibn Kathir was a perfume salesman
-Naafi' oversaw a market
-Ibn 'Aamir was a judge
-'Aasim was a farmer
-Abu 'Amr was a linguist
-Hamzah was an oil salesman
-al-Kisaa'i was a teacher

The Best Prayer – Fajr on Friday in Congregation:

أَفْضَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ عِنْدَ اللهِ تَعَالىَ صَلاَةُ الصُّبْحِ يَوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,”

The best prayer with Allah is Fajr on Friday in congregation.

Collected by Al-Bayhaqi in Imam and Abu Nuaym in Hilyah . Shaykh Al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him) graded this hadeeth as being authentic in Silsilatu Saheehah 4/91

The reason why the best congregational prayer is Fajr on Friday is because Friday is the best day of the week. Based on this hadeeth Fajr is the best of the five daily prayers. Imam Ash-Shafi defined this hadeeth. However according to the majority of his companions in his school of thought, they hold the best congregational prayer to be Asr. The reason for this is because it’s the middle prayer based on an authentic hadeeth without any contradiction. Then the second best is Fajr, then Isha, then Maghrib and finally Thur.

Charity repels calamities:

Charity protects the person as stated in the Hadith

“Doing good (to the people) protects one from misfortunes, secret charity extinguishes the anger of the Lord, and keeping ties with kinship increases one’s life span.”

[At-Tabaraani - Al-Albaani classified it as hasan (good)]
