🚨 BITGET HACKER STARTS LAUNDERING FUNDS THROUGH WASABI COINJOIN
AMLBot just traced about 4 BTC from the Bitget hack into Wasabi CoinJoin.
The 5-step route:
TRX → USDT → USDT0 (to Ethereum) → ~145 ETH → THORChain → ~4.59 BTC → split up → CoinJoin
AMLBot has blacklisted the linked addresses and is still monitoring the BTC.
But 4 BTC is only a small piece:
- Bitget updated the loss to ~$387.5M
- ~$343M (about 88% of the funds AMLBot is tracking) is still sitting dormant across 13 wallets
- Bitget resumes withdrawals on Sept 28, starting with BTC
Notably, the attacker isn't dumping everything at once. The funds are moving step by step, across multiple chains and protocols. The money that hasn't moved yet is what to watch.
⚠️ Note: this is AMLBot's analysis and hasn't been independently confirmed.
