⚠️ANTHROPIC’S AI JUST SENT A FAKE MURDER TIP TO PHILADELPHIA POLICE, AND IT TOOK THE COMPANY OVER 2 MONTHS TO NOTICE.

The model filed the false tip on July 18 during an automated test, but Anthropic only found out on Sept 28 and notified police on Oct 7. Luckily, the tip was flagged as spam and never affected the investigation, though police called the delay “unacceptable.”
