🚨 THORCHAIN REFUSED BITGET CEO'S REQUEST TO BLOCK THE HACKER'S WALLETS
Bitget lost $387.5M on Sept 24. Within hours, the hacker started swapping ETH and BNB into BTC through THORChain, then splitting it across thousands of wallets.
CEO Gracy Chen made the attacker addresses public and formally asked THORChain to stop serving them. According to reports, THORChain said no, citing its decentralized, permissionless design that can't censor transactions.
This isn't the first time. In last year's Bybit hack, around $1.2B of the stolen funds also flowed through the same protocol.
So the question remains: when users' funds get stolen, is "decentralization" a principle worth protecting, or just an excuse?
