Trung Nguyen Van, 37, a Vietnamese national, has been charged with money laundering after his crypto wallets pulled in a total of $53 MILLION from American victims - over just 6 years (2018-2024).

The playbook: lure victims into a fake "romantic" relationship, build trust, then convince them to invest in a bogus crypto platform called "Triangle."

One single victim transferred nearly $16 million in the summer of 2024 alone. The moment funds hit Van's wallet, they were immediately moved into anonymous wallets to cover his tracks.

This is "pig butchering" - a scam pattern causing BILLIONS of dollars in losses worldwide.
