Look for the bridge.
If you worked in payments, ask where payment operations, settlement or merchant experience overlaps with stablecoins and onchain payments.
If you worked in compliance, look at how your knowledge connects with crypto products, transaction monitoring or digital-asset regulation.
If your background is finance, look at where it intersects with tokenization, treasury, trading or digital assets.
If you work in security, there are new problems around wallets, custody, signing and transaction infrastructure.
If you work with data, think about what changes when part of the dataset is public and onchain.
You still need to learn the crypto side.
But that is very different from having nothing relevant to bring.
A useful way to think about your positioning is:
What do I already know + what Web3 context do I need to add?
That combination can be much more specific than simply trying to become “crypto-native.”
