π Should you cold DM a company you want to work for?
Yes. But the way you do it matters.
A message like "Hey, I just applied for the role!" is unlikely to get much attention. Hiring teams receive dozens of those every week.
Instead, take a few minutes to research the company first. Point out something you'd improve, suggest a content idea, identify a small product issue or explain how you'd solve a problem they're facing.
The goal isn't just to tell them you're interested, it's to give them a reason to remember you.
A thoughtful message that demonstrates your skills will always stand out more than a generic application!
