🇬🇧 Artemis II, scheduled for 2026, will become the first crewed lunar flyby in more than 50 years. This mission is a key milestone of the lunar exploration program led by NASA and aims to return humans to deep space. Unlike the Apollo missions, Artemis II does not include a lunar landing and instead focuses on validating technologies required for future surface missions.
🛰️ During the mission, a crew of four astronauts will fly around the Moon on a free-return trajectory aboard the Orionspacecraft. Critical systems such as life support, navigation, communications, and radiation protection will be tested in real deep-space conditions, beyond low Earth orbit.
🌕 The scientific value of Artemis II lies in collecting data on the effects of cosmic radiation and microgravity on the human body, as well as validating operational procedures for future lunar missions.
