NYC Comptroller Mark Levine, who oversees public pension funds holding more than $325 BILLION, urged the company to address safety and governance concerns before going public.

“Instead of proceeding headlong with its IPO, the company should focus its energies on addressing these unprecedented risks.”

Anthropic has opened discussions with Levine, who warns that a major safety incident after listing could severely hurt investors.
