The Trump administration is reportedly pushing for a broad Israeli unity government in which Netanyahu would remain prime minister for up to two years before retiring from politics.

The proposed coalition, involving Netanyahu's Likud and Gadi Eisenkot's party, would seek to end regional wars and secure peace agreements, particularly with Saudi Arabia.

Eisenkot's bloc would reportedly demand Netanyahu's guaranteed retirement, the reversal of judicial reforms, and an inquiry into October 7.
