Congressional Democrats are increasingly uniting behind efforts to impeach Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over his handling of the Iran war, while party leaders remain reluctant to pursue another impeachment of President Trump.

Several Democrats, including Rep. Melanie Stansbury, have called for Hegseth’s removal, accusing him of violating congressional war powers and overseeing unlawful killings.

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie has also introduced an impeachment resolution that the House will be forced to consider after the November midterms.
