WATCH: Queen Suthida of Thailand flew a Gripen fighter jet solo, a first for a reigning queen.
She completed a 41-minute training sortie in a single-seat JAS 39C with King Vajiralongkorn watching from the ground.
She’s no novice.
1,188 logged hours including ~480 in Boeing 737s, plus a full air-force conversion course with 20 sim sessions and 10+ hours in the two-seat Gripen before going solo.
