LastWave is currently hitting Last.fm’s 5-minute API rate limit, which is causing some Last.fm-based features to fail temporarily.
We’re repeatedly receiving:
{
"error": 29,
"message": "Rate Limit Exceeded - This application has made too many requests in a short period. If this is your API key, see https://www.last.fm/api/tos#4.4 for information about raising the limit."
}
We’ve already applied Last.fm for partner-level higher API limits.
For now, some Last.fm features may remain unstable.
If Last.fm doesn’t approve our request, or if the licensing cost ends up being beyond our budget, we’ll move recommendations to a YouTube-only system or another free alternative.
Let’s see what they say.
