We’ve been getting a lot of suggestions like “add an Apple-style frost effect”, “make the volume slider like Apple”, “use Apple-style background blur”, etc.

Honestly, I’m not interested in blindly making individual components look like Apple. If one component follows Apple’s design language while everything else follows a different style, the whole UI loses consistency.

We’re not trying to make an Apple Music clone.

I’d rather take our time, build our own design, and improve it gradually than keep copying individual parts of another product just because they look good.

LastWave Desktop v1.2.0 is here, bringing a big lyrics upgrade, playlist link imports, a cooler-running app and a lot of hardening under the hood.

• Smarter Lyrics Matching: Strict version-aware matching so "Song" never steals the lyrics of "Song (Interlude)"

Guys, seriously? 😭

For the past week, I’ve been getting multiple ₹1 UPI payments, it could be 2–3 different people, or even the same person using multiple accounts. I genuinely have no idea. 💀

I know running LastWave isn’t cheap. Servers, premium accounts, APIs, domains, testing and everything else add up, and we’re still making sure you guys don’t face even a minute of unnecessary downtime.

But what's this behaviour gng 🫩🥀.

My old handle @letmesolo_her was sniped by automated bot scripts and is now hosting a malicious crypto-draining phishing scam (spoofing a fake Collab.Land wallet verification).

Kindly go and report that channel under illegal activities , scam as much as possible. So I can get that username back , I need it badly guys.

• Right Song, Every Time: Sometimes a remix or slowed version played instead of the original you picked. The player now sticks to the exact recording you asked for, and hands off cleanly when it can't.

• Japanese Tracks Get Lossless: Songs billed in kana + romaji (like よあけのうた) were stuck on low-quality audio while Android played them in full quality. They now resolve to lossless like everything else.

• Smarter Matching: The player is now much pickier about telling originals apart from remixes, live cuts, slowed edits and covers, across both lossless and YouTube sources. Old bad matches clear themselves automatically.

• Real FLAC Downloads: Some lossless downloads were saved with the wrong extension. They now save as proper tagged .flac files.
