The app was previously running on my personal api_id and api_hash, which is a massive security risk. If even one person does something creepy, illegal, or suspicious, it triggers a massive ban hammer that wipes out my developer account and disrupts everyone else's data. I don't want anyone's random or shady activities indirectly affecting me or the rest of the users, so we are completely separating the setup.

To keep this open-source project safe and transparent, we are shifting to a model where everyone uses their own keys. Just log into my.telegram.org, go to API development tools, and generate your own unique credentials.

Once you have your keys, just paste them into the new configuration panel on the site. They will stay 100% secure inside your own browser's local storage and will never touch an external server.
