🇩🇪⚡️ — Germany’s AfD has secured the presidency of a state parliament for the first time, with Tobias Rausch elected speaker of the Saxony-Anhalt legislature with 48 votes — nine more than the AfD’s 39 seats.
Rausch received support from the left-wing BSW, making him the first AfD politician to hold one of the highest offices in a German state legislature.
