🇨🇩 The Democratic Republic of Congo has the world's largest cobalt reserves at 3.6 million tons. DR Congo produces 70% of the world's Cobalt which is essential for electric batteries.

🟧 DR Congo is the third producer of Copper, at 1.8 million tons per year. Nearly all cobalt in the country is sourced from copper deposits. Some of the highest grade copper deposits in the world are situated there. There are large deposits that have yet to be explored using modern technology, so the size of the reserves may be understated.
