On September 30th, a traditional celebratory reception marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was held in Beijing at the Great Hall of the People. The event was attended by General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, representatives of the highest party and state leadership, public, political, and business circles, as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country.

In his speech, Xi Jinping noted that over the past years, under the leadership of the Communist Party, China has achieved remarkable success – rapid economic growth and long-term social stability. The country has achieved the "First Centenary Goal" – reaching a level of moderate prosperity, and now the Chinese people are working towards the "Second Centenary Goal" – building a modern socialist country. On the international stage, China will continue to pursue an independent foreign policy aimed at ensuring peace, implementing its "global" initiatives in areas of development, security, inter-civilizational dialogue, and governance, promoting the concept of a "community with a shared future for mankind", and strengthening the positive elements and predictability in today's rapidly changing and turbulent world.
