🇺🇸❌🇨🇳 Trump Rules Out Joint AI Development with China

U.S. President Donald Trump, in a meeting with technology company executives, stated that Washington would not create a joint venture with Beijing to develop artificial intelligence (AI).

According to him, such cooperation would be equivalent to "revealing secrets" to America's main economic rival. Trump also emphasized that the United States is currently ahead of China in the field of AI and wants to maintain this advantage.

Following a visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to the United States from September 23-25, the leaders agreed to hold the first AI negotiations in November. The countries also established a communication channel to prevent misunderstandings in incidents related to AI.

On September 29, Trump signed an executive order to use the term "superintelligence" (SI) instead of "artificial intelligence" in government documents.
