Your weekly catch-up on everything that moved πŸ‘‡

➑️ $BTC closed September up 6%, and over the third quarter it gained almost 43% while $ETH put on 70%

➑️ $QNT rose 178% in a week, from $90 to over $300, after The Clearing House, owned by the 25 largest US banks, picked Quant for its tokenized bank deposit network

➑️ Petrobras, Brazil's state oil company, launched a system with Cardano that turns the properties of green aviation fuel into tokens recorded on-chain, so they can't be counted twice or quietly altered after the fact

➑️ The Ethereum Foundation launched zkAPI on mainnet, letting people pay for AI models without revealing who they are: you deposit ETH or USDC into a vault contract and your balance is kept as a private note. It was built with the Open Anonymity Project along a design Vitalik Buterin and Davide Crapis published in February, though prompts and network data still aren't hidden

β€‹β€‹πŸ† Weekly Heroes are here

$BTC is pushing $86K as Uptober opens, after September closed up 6,4% and broke its own Red September nickname. Good start all round, and these three ran ahead of it:

πŸ₯‡ $QNT +142,2%
πŸ₯ˆ $PUMP +42,4%
πŸ₯‰ $GRASS +41,4%

Every hero needs a holder πŸ‘‡

Everyone's reposting the Uptober stat today, but the best October in Bitcoin's history started with a disaster πŸ’€

October 2013 finished up 60,79%, a record that still stands. On October 2, the FBI shut down Silk Road and arrested Ross Ulbricht. The darknet market was Bitcoin's main real-world use at the time, the answer to "what is this actually for", and the price fell from $127 to $85 within hours.

By the next evening it was back at $117. By December it hit $1,163.

The streak broke last year, though. October 2025 closed down 3,69%, the first red October since 2018.

Here's what makes this year interesting. September has a nickname too, Red September, and it's been as reliable. This year it didn't hold, Bitcoin closed the month up around 7%.

So if one pattern already broke, what does that mean for the other one? πŸ‘€

Carlos Ramirez spent fifteen years chasing down anyone who used his drawing without asking, and then licensed it to a memecoin 😏

He drew Trollface in MS Paint in September 2008, an 18-year-old in Oakland making a comic about how pointless trolling was on 4chan. The face escaped the comic almost immediately and became the symbol of the thing it was mocking. He registered the copyright in 2010 and defended it seriously: Hot Topic paid to put it on shirts, and in 2015 a takedown notice from him got Meme Run pulled off the Nintendo eShop while the game was sitting at number five on the store.

$TROLL started as a token nobody officially ran, and the community took it over from there. Ramirez had already said publicly he wouldn't take legal action, but the holders went to him anyway, because an exchange listing is easier with paperwork than without it. He turned down their first offer of $50K. What closed instead was a six-figure deal funded by around ten large holders pooling SOL together, giving $TROLL an exclusive worldwide licence to Trollface across crypto and merchandise, with Ramirez keeping 11% of net merch revenue.

That licence is part of why the token sits on Coinbase today. Exchanges are wary of listing anything built on somebody else's intellectual property, and $TROLL is one of the very few that can point to paperwork. The contract has since been renounced so nobody can change how it works, and practically the whole 1B supply is already circulating.

Something is definitely going on with the memecoin market, so it might be worth watching this sector more closely.

$80 of free profit can turn into a $20 loss πŸ₯€

Crypto arbitrage is buying a coin where it's cheap and selling it where it's expensive. It works because two exchanges can hold different prices for the same asset at the same moment.

That happens because crypto has no single market. Each exchange only sees its own buyers and sellers, so prices drift apart. On major pairs the gap lasts seconds before bots close it. In South Korea it lasted years, because currency rules stopped anyone from evening it out.

Finding those gaps is the easy part. Scanners list them in real time, bots trade both sides automatically, and exchange APIs will ping you the moment a spread crosses whatever number you pick.

Then you count. Bitcoin is $80 cheaper on one exchange than another, so you take the trade. Fees on both sides take $60. The withdrawal costs $15. Your order is bigger than what's on offer at the best price, so part of it fills higher and that's $20 more. Converting stablecoins adds $5. $100 spent chasing $80.

Not every trade ends underwater, but that's the arithmetic every spread has to survive. A scanner shows 0,4%, depth eats most of it, fees and slippage take the rest, and 0,02-0,05% per trade is what actually reaches you. It works if you repeat it constantly, keep money sitting on both exchanges so there's no transfer to wait for, and nothing breaks. Every spread should be tested against real prices and fees first.

The full guide covers the four main types, how to choose exchanges, and what to check before each trade πŸ‘‡

There's more to $INJ than a Layer 1 for finance, and here are five things worth knowing πŸ‘€

1️⃣ The burn pays you to take part
Once a month, anyone can commit INJ to the Community BuyBack and receive a share of the revenue the whole ecosystem generated. The INJ you commit gets destroyed. Before this replaced the old auction format in 2024, the original burn auction had already removed 6,78 million INJ from circulation.

2️⃣ A publicly traded company owns 7% of the supply
Pineapple Financial, a Canadian firm listed on NYSE American, holds just over 7 million INJ, worth around $54M at current prices, sitting on one company's balance sheet.

3️⃣ The supply shrinks when the network gets busy
New INJ is minted to pay stakers, and burned through the buybacks. The busier the chain, the more gets burned, which means heavy usage can pull the total supply down rather than push it up.

4️⃣ Mark Cuban was an early backer
Injective was incubated by Binance Labs and sold its token on Binance Launchpad on October 21, 2020. Jump Crypto, Pantera Capital and Mark Cuban were all behind it.

5️⃣ It went five years without EVM, then switched it on overnight
Native EVM support arrived in November 2025 with more than 30 projects live on day one. Tokenized assets on the chain passed $1B this week, and Injective just ran the first-ever Stockdrop, an airdrop of tokenized stocks.

$XEC took everything Bitcoin does and made it fast enough to pay with ⚑

eCash forked off Bitcoin's chain back in 2017 and kept the mining underneath, then added a second layer that confirms transactions in under three seconds and pays people for helping run the network. The supply is 21M multiplied by a million, so amounts read like ordinary money instead of long strings of decimals.

β€‹β€‹πŸ“Š This week's crypto recap

Bitcoin touched $87K early in the week, its best level since January, then gave most of it back after the largest exchange hack of the year.

Fear & Greed: 68 - still in greed but the edge came off

πŸ”΄ $BTC $82,785 | -1,92%
πŸ”΄ $ETH $2,647 | -2,55%

πŸ“ˆ Gainer of the week: $AURORA
AURORA closed the week up 214% on the back of the Zcash auction it helped route, and the buying hasn't stopped since. That makes two weeks running where the privacy trade produced the top gainer.

πŸ“‰ Loser of the week: $COTI
COTI fell 27% and is simply handing back what it made a week ago, when it jumped 32% on the launch of its privacy tools on Avalanche.

How do you see this week going with Uptober starting mid-week?

We went through this week in crypto so you don't have to πŸ‘‡

➑️ Total crypto market cap hit its highest level since late January, with Bitcoin touching $87,2K on September 21 before settling back around $84,4K

➑️ Apple and Google are both hiring for blockchain payment roles built around stablecoins

➑️ Solana began activating Alpenglow on its public testnet, a new consensus design that cuts block finality from around 12,8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, roughly 85 times faster

➑️ Tokenized real-world assets passed $34B, up 85% since the start of 2026, with tokenized stocks growing 390%, and only 0,01% of fiat assets are tokenized so far, so the market everyone keeps talking about has barely started

➑️ Strategy bought another 950 BTC and now holds 846K in total

➑️ Bitget was drained of $351,6M in the largest exchange hack of the year, and the method matters more than the number: the attacker faked transaction history in the wallet service backend to trigger transfers, never touching the private keys. Cold wallets were untouched and losses are covered by the exchange's protection fund

Anyone who put $2K into $AURORA last week is looking at $9,390 today

That's 369,5% in seven days, and another 17% came in over the past 24 hours.

The trigger traces back to Zcash. Aurora Intents, the routing system the project runs, handled $19M of the volume in a Zcash NFT auction and came out ahead of everyone else doing it. That put a NEAR-based project that's been building since 2022 back in front of a market which has spent two months obsessed with privacy.

Whales have been buying heavily for several days now, with over $350K going in.

Maybe it's time to take a closer look at $AURORA πŸ‘‡
